Commissioner Roberto Eugenio T. Cadiz was appointed to the Commission on Human Rights of the Philippines in 2015, where he now handles Business and Human Rights, Sustainable Development Goals, Crisis and Conflict, International Humanitarian Law, and Peace. He also supervises the Human Rights Policy Advisory Office. Commissioner Cadiz chaired the Philippine Human Rights Commission’s Inquiry Panel, which investigated the impact of climate change on human rights, which pioneered the conduct of a global inquiry process for NHRIs, where hearings were conducted by their Commission beyond the territory of the Philippines.
