Alex is a climate scientist and oceanographer based at the Climate Change Research Center. His work revolves around the role of the ocean in the climate system. His interests include: how the ocean controls regional climate (like rainfall over land), how climate change will affect the ocean circulation, the drivers and impacts of marine heatwaves, individual-based modelling of tuna and climate modelling for the masses
