Samantha Kuman is an Advocacy Officer for the Centre for Environmental Law and Community Rights Inc, is a not for profit public interest environmental law firm. CELCOR seeks to provide legal advice and assistance to landowners, Community Based Organizations (CBO’s) and NGO’s involved in community based natural resources management, environmental policy research and development and advocate for human rights and environmental justice. Currently Samantha is working on a climate justice campaign, which has collaborated forces with Jubilee Australia, 350 PNG and Aid Watch, to form an anti-coal campaign called the NOGAT  COAL : NO COAL IN PAPUA NEW GUINEA CAMPAIGN (www.nogatcoal.org) , which seeks to raise awareness on a bid to develop a coal industry in Papua New Guinea, which would be the first in the nation and the Pacific region.  Samantha is an environmental scientist by profession and has worked in the non-profit sector since university , with a particular emphasis on environmental education
